Golfing Tips – Nerves
Lose The Nerves
The first thing you need to do is to understand why you may be nervous when taking a putt or teeing off. It could be something fairly simple and recent that is making your nervous or it might be something that you had several years.
Many professional golfers like Jack Nicholas, Tiger Woods, Tony Jacklin, and Ben Hogan to name but a few suffer with nerves, especially when playing in golf tournaments, the pressure that they feel could be put down to anxiety and the great expectations placed upon them to win the tournament. This kind of nervous symptoms can be overcome with little more than self-help.
If you are a nervous golfer then acknowledging the fact is the biggest step forward to improve your game. If you believe you going to miss the putt, then the chances are that you probably will, on the other hand if you believe you are going to make a great putt then you will very likely will.
The only way to cure your golfing nerves is to believe in yourself, with every putt and stroke that you play you must visualize a perfect shot.
