Focus of Golf Swing Instructions
In an effort to improve your golf swing and overall game, your instructor will focus on a handful of factors necessary for a smooth swing.
- First of all, you will want to remain as calm and relaxed as possible at all times. The game of golf is often just as challenging mentally as it is physically. Don’t let your emotions take control of the game.
- Stance- a good stance involves positioning your feet the right distance apart and aligning the shoulders. Proper stance is one of the key components to a great swing. Any deviation from the standard will greatly affect where the ball lands.
- Grip- how you place your hands can determine how straight your swing is. Many new golfers make the mistake of holding the club too tight.
- Swing motion- From the initiation of the backswing, to the follow up of the downswing, the entire process should be one smooth motion. By practicing the proper swing techniques on a regular basis, you can lower your golf score significantly.
